Take me out to the ballgame! This month for our Pack event we will be going to see the Joliet Jackhammers. This should be a great time! If you signed up for this event, you will be contacted as soon as the tickets arrive.

May

Our May Pack meeting was very special as our scouts crossed over to their new rank. Cubmaster Tim and Assistant Cubmaster Bob place the new neckerchiefs and neckerchief slides on for the scouts. The new rank necherchief is always placed on the scout before removing the old rank so that there is no break in service.

Pack 99 made a valiant effort to participate in the annual Plainfield Memorial Day Parade, but mother nature had something else in mind. Still, it was nice to see the support for our troops, rain or shine.

April

During our April Pack meeting, we put the Webelos II popsickle stick bridges to the test.

March

Take Flight! This year Pack 99 held our first Space Derby. It started out a little crazy, as we learned how to wind and race the rockets, but in the end, everyone had a good time!

February

Thanks again to the Blue and Gold Banquet Committee for a wonderful time. It was an emotional time for some of the parents as their Cub Scouts crossed over and moved on to Boy Scouts!

January

What an awesome Pinewood Derby! Everyone had a great time, there was some great racing and we all enjoyed some great food! The scouts did a wonderful job on their cars this year, we had some very creative designs and some really fast cars.

Day Camp

We hope all Scouts who attended Cub Scout Day Camp had a good time. There were games, crafts and fun everywhere. And the Scouts may have even earned a belt loop or two.

Resident Camp

2010 is going to be a great year at Resident Camp. Resident Camp is a four day, three night experience that will teach your scout about the values of Scouting in an action-packed and fun-filled environment

This years exciting program features two days of swimming, sports, games, crafts, archery, BB guns and other adventures led by a highly-trained professional staff. Resident Camp is a great experience even if your Scout is already planning to attend Day Camp, because if offers a unique opportunity to spend time with your son in an outdoor setting. It is an experience he will never forget!

Don't forget your medical forms, parts A, B and C when you check in.

Volunteers

Parents, we could really use your help! Please download a copy of the Volunteer Form and let us know how you can help.

Please contact Tim, Bob, Zori, or your Den Leader if you have any questions or are interested in helping Pack 99. The success of our Pack depends on parent volunteers as well as our leaders!

“The uniform makes for brotherhood, since when universally adopted it covers up all differences of class and country.”
